So as all of you may know, Arcade Fire won a Grammy for album-of-the-year. (no big deal or anything)
In honor of one of my favorite bands of all time, and the fact they have actually received the recognition they deserved, here is, “We Used To Wait”, off of the album that got them the gold, The Suburbs.

So after hearing Mumford & Sons preform with the Avett Brothers and Bob Dylan at the Grammys last night, I realized they weren’t the hyped up band ruined by mainstream radio that I perceived them to be. Halfway through the performance, I jumped on the computer & got a friend of mine to send me their album, Sigh No More. The whole album’s absolutely golden, but this song especially struck a chord with me, as I’ve been having several head vs heart issues the past week or two.

Getting stoked on Merrill Garbus (known from here on out as tUnE-yArDs) releasing new music this year.
Her old shit was as lo-fi as lo-fi gets, but the story goes that once Blackberry started giving her royalties for using a tUnE-yArDs song in their commercial, she finally had enough money to properly enter a real studio to record music. The first released result of this is very promising.

Well that would account for even more musical variety, which is a good thing. I think eventually I want to seek out other music blogs on Tumblr (some even that we’re already following) and make an Affiliates list to put in the Info section so I’ll keep yours in mind.
Lately, it’s become a rare event when the music Ryan sends me is something I enjoy. Not to say the music he sends me doesn’t grow on me after a few listens, because I’ll assure you I’ve heard many “I told you so’s…” on several occasions. However, I’ve simply fallen in love with the Lissie 5-song EP, Why You Runnin’, he sent me. When it’s on I can’t concentrate on what’s in front of me because I’m distracted by the chillingly soothing vocals of Lissie Maurus that paint sepia-toned stories of feelings I’m familiar with. The EP is even better than the full length album, and I’m glad I gave it a chance

Another song of note is Record Collector, from the full length. - Ryan
Well I see none of my counterparts have been on here since the review of Girl Talk. So allow me to fill the void.
