TREY HILL’S (1/2 Of Let This Colony Know) TOP 10 Albums of 2010

This year has been pretty memorable when it has come to musical content. Whether it was albums being released, discovering songs, or the countless shows I’ve attended, this year has been mindblowing in the music department. So without further hesitation, here are my favorite albums from 2010.

1. Four Year Strong - Enemy of the World

- The simple fact that these guys deliver the most fun-intensive shows and that you can play any of their albums and have a great time singing along including this one gives them my top spot.

Listen to: Eternal Summer (Wasting Time)

2. Minus The Bear - Omni

- One of my favorite bands out there, these guys never cease to amaze me. From front to back this album was great.

Listen to: My Time / Into The Mirror

3. Circa Survive - Blue Sky Noise

- You can never go wrong when Anthony Green is on an album. This album was definitely going in a different direction compared to the last two but still a winner.

Listen to: Frozen Creek / Through The Desert Alone

4. Portugal. The Man - American Ghetto

- I’ve been listening to this album for the past month almost everyday. I’ve come to the realization that anything these guys produce is worth a listen.

Listen to: The Dead Dog

5. Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles

- TOO BUSY GETTIN’ DOWN TO WRITE*

Listen to: Baptism / Intimate

6. The Tallest Man On Earth - The Wild Hunt

 Listen to: Like The Wheel

 7. Ra Ra Riot - The Orchard

- Their instrumentation, vocals, and presence are amazing. A great record hands down.

Listen to: The Boy / Too Dramatic

8. Angus And Julia Stone - Down The Way

- This brother and sister team will blow your mind with their acoustic prowess and leave you wanting more.

Listen to: And The Boys

9. Sufjan Stevens - All Delighted People EP/Age Of Adz

-Sufjan Stevens is talent…that is all.

Listen to: Enchanting Ghost / I Walked

10. Broken Bells - Broken Bells

- Their space rock sound was something fresh and something needed this year.

Listen to: The High Road

*The runner-ups coming soon
